Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the rose 0.23%, while the index climbed 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the were Schneider Electric SE (EPA:), which rose 3.90% or 5.92 points to trade at 157.84 at the close. Meanwhile, Teleperformance SE (EPA:) added 3.17% or 5.55 points to end at 180.70 and Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:) was up 2.51% or 0.88 points to 35.76 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:), which fell 8.72% or 3.69 points to trade at 38.61 at the close. Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:) declined 3.30% or 1.64 points to end at 48.02 and TotalEnergies SE (EPA:) was down 2.62% or 1.53 points to 56.87.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were SES Imagotag (EPA:) which rose 33.93% to 150.00, Voltalia SA (EPA:) which was up 4.69% to settle at 13.38 and Ovh Groupe SAS (EPA:) which gained 4.27% to close at 9.53.
The worst performers were Soitec SA (EPA:) which was down 15.43% to 128.55 in late trade, STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:) which lost 8.72% to settle at 38.61 and Eramet SA (EPA:) which was down 4.21% to 86.40 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 276 to 259 and 100 ended unchanged.
Shares in Schneider Electric SE (EPA:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 3.90% or 5.92 to 157.84. Shares in SES Imagotag (EPA:) rose to all time highs; rising 33.93% or 38.00 to 150.00.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.14% or 2.75 to $1,993.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.78% or 0.58 to hit $74.88 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.66% or 0.51 to trade at $78.23 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.25% to 0.88.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 101.40.
