JetBlue names insider Joanna Geraghty CEO

(Reuters) -JetBlue Airways on Monday named Joanna Geraghty as its chief executive officer, effective Feb. 12, succeeding Robin Hayes.
The change at the helm comes at a time when JetBlue is in the middle of a legal battle over the acquisition of ultra-low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines (NYSE:).
Geraghty, who has had a near two-decade career at JetBlue, is currently the company’s chief operating officer.
