Baidu (NASDAQ:)’s Ernie Bot, also known as Wenxin Yiyan in Chinese, has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 100 million cumulative users.
According to Bloomberg, Baidu’s Chief Technology Officer, Wang Haifeng, disclosed this information during a recent conference.
Ernie Bot saw rapid growth within just two months of launch in 2023, which highlights its value to users and its role in advancing large language model (LLM) technology.
In response to the surge in generative AI, China’s State Internet Information Office and six other departments have introduced interim regulations to manage AI-focused services.
