Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the rose 0.11%, while the index gained 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the were Alstom SA (EPA:), which rose 3.32% or 0.77 points to trade at 23.94 at the close. Meanwhile, ArcelorMittal SA (AS:) added 2.05% or 0.51 points to end at 25.14 and AXA SA (EPA:) was up 1.82% or 0.50 points to 27.66 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teleperformance SE (EPA:), which fell 3.05% or 4.90 points to trade at 156.00 at the close. Capgemini SE (EPA:) declined 1.64% or 2.75 points to end at 164.70 and Sanofi SA (EPA:) was down 1.28% or 1.30 points to 100.26.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Vallourec (EPA:) which rose 4.57% to 10.38, Orpea SA (EPA:) which was up 3.34% to settle at 2.69 and Alstom SA (EPA:) which gained 3.32% to close at 23.94.
The worst performers were Valneva (EPA:) which was down 4.32% to 5.66 in late trade, Teleperformance SE (EPA:) which lost 3.05% to settle at 156.00 and SES Imagotag (EPA:) which was down 3.01% to 161.00 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 334 to 184 and 101 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.48% or 9.75 to $2,034.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 2.37% or 1.69 to hit $73.03 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 2.07% or 1.56 to trade at $76.86 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 100.96.
