Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the fell 0.53%, while the index declined 1.64%, and the index climbed 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the were Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:), which rose 2.99% or 0.67 points to trade at 23.05 at the close. Meanwhile, Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) added 2.76% or 10.50 points to end at 390.50 and Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:) was up 2.01% or 1.06 points to 53.88 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Rheinmetall AG (ETR:), which fell 7.12% or 19.80 points to trade at 258.20 at the close. Daimler Truck Holding AG (ETR:) declined 5.47% or 1.66 points to end at 28.70 and Continental AG O.N. (ETR:) was down 5.15% or 3.52 points to 64.86.
The top performers on the MDAX were Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (ETR:) which rose 1.47% to 2.84, Freenet AG NA (ETR:) which was up 1.25% to settle at 24.22 and Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (ETR:) which gained 1.20% to close at 39.70.
The worst performers were Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:) which was down 8.05% to 1.16 in late trade, Wacker Chemie O.N. (ETR:) which lost 5.96% to settle at 137.95 and Kion Group AG (ETR:) which was down 5.95% to 32.59 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 13.44% to 16.59, Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:) which was up 2.99% to settle at 23.05 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) which gained 2.76% to close at 390.50.
The worst performers were Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which was down 5.94% to 12.35 in late trade, Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:) which lost 5.33% to settle at 38.15 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which was down 3.67% to 93.10 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 415 to 241 and 94 ended unchanged.
Shares in Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.99% or 0.67 to 23.05. Shares in Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:) fell to all time lows; falling 8.05% or 0.10 to 1.16. Shares in Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.99% or 0.67 to 23.05. Shares in Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 5.33% or 2.15 to 38.15.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 4.53% to 19.63.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.08% or 1.60 to $2,036.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.16% or 0.13 to hit $80.58 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.11% or 0.09 to trade at $85.03 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.50% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.38% at 101.65.
