Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the added 0.14%, while the index climbed 0.11%, and the index fell 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the were Adidas AG (ETR:), which rose 2.97% or 5.34 points to trade at 185.08 at the close. Meanwhile, Munich Reinsurance (ETR:) added 1.23% or 4.30 points to end at 353.40 and Henkel & Co KGaA AG Pref (ETR:) was up 1.04% or 0.74 points to 72.02 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Rheinmetall AG (ETR:), which fell 3.81% or 9.90 points to trade at 249.90 at the close. Bayer AG NA (ETR:) declined 1.68% or 0.87 points to end at 51.00 and Qiagen NV (ETR:) was down 1.17% or 0.47 points to 39.65.
The top performers on the MDAX were HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which rose 4.50% to 25.33, Encavis AG (ETR:) which was up 3.60% to settle at 13.80 and Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (ETR:) which gained 2.51% to close at 7.18.
The worst performers were Befesa SA (ETR:) which was down 2.38% to 32.80 in late trade, Stroeer SE (ETR:) which lost 2.01% to settle at 44.96 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which was down 1.64% to 29.94 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 1.53% to 33.08, SAP SE (ETR:) which was up 0.74% to settle at 127.12 and Atoss Software AG (ETR:) which gained 0.65% to close at 231.00.
The worst performers were Nagarro SE (ETR:) which was down 2.94% to 74.30 in late trade, Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 2.15% to settle at 27.78 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which was down 1.64% to 29.94 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 340 to 297 and 105 ended unchanged.
Shares in Munich Reinsurance (ETR:) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.23% or 4.30 to 353.40. Shares in Qiagen NV (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.17% or 0.47 to 39.65. Shares in Nagarro SE (ETR:) fell to all time lows; down 2.94% or 2.25 to 74.30.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 2.05% to 17.67.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.28% or 5.35 to $1,929.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.59% or 1.29 to hit $79.70 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.41% or 1.20 to trade at $83.69 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.13% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.36% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 103.23.
