Greece stocks higher at close of trade; Athens General Composite up 0.49% By Investing.com
Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the gained 0.49%.
The best performers of the session on the were Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:), which rose 3.49% or 0.07 points to trade at 2.08 at the close. Meanwhile, Crete Plastics SA (AT:) added 2.74% or 0.40 points to end at 15.00 and Aegean Airlines (AT:) was up 2.69% or 0.29 points to 11.06 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Biokarpet Industrial and Commercial Enterprises SA (AT:), which fell 4.76% or 0.10 points to trade at 2.00 at the close. Quality and Reliability SA (AT:) declined 4.10% or 0.05 points to end at 1.17 and Autohellas (AT:) was down 2.12% or 0.24 points to 11.08.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 63 to 56 and 18 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.32% or 8.25 to $2,542.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.45% or 0.33 to hit $73.50 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.53% or 0.41 to trade at $77.61 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.00% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.25% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 101.22.
