Israel stocks higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 0.05%

Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the rose 0.05%.

The best performers of the session on the were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:), which rose 5.11% or 24.00 points to trade at 493.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Melisron (TASE:) added 3.89% or 880.00 points to end at 23,500.00 and Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:) was up 3.07% or 1,870.00 points to 62,800.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Shikun & Binui (TASE:), which fell 7.70% or 64.00 points to trade at 767.00 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:) declined 4.27% or 105.00 points to end at 2,352.00 and Israel Corp (TASE:) was down 4.00% or 4,740.00 points to 113,720.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 260 to 204 and 35 ended unchanged.

Shares in Israel Corp (TASE:) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.00% or 4,740.00 to 113,720.00.

Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.22% or 0.18 to $80.24 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.52% or 0.44 to hit $84.49 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.95% or 39.00 to trade at $2,039.40 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was down 0.20% to 3.58, while EUR/ILS rose 0.32% to 3.92.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.48% at 101.30.
