Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the rose 1.77%.
The best performers of the session on the were Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:), which rose 8.91% or 450.00 points to trade at 5,500.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Energix (TASE:) added 5.87% or 61.00 points to end at 1,100.00 and Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TASE:) was up 4.81% or 86.00 points to 1,875.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:), which fell 3.42% or 111.00 points to trade at 3,139.00 at the close. Strauss Group (TASE:) declined 2.26% or 192.00 points to end at 8,300.00 and Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:) was down 1.08% or 700.00 points to 64,300.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 277 to 167 and 44 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.90% or 0.64 to $70.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.68% or 0.52 to hit $76.17 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 2.37% or 46.15 to trade at $1,995.75 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 1.48% to 3.57, while EUR/ILS fell 1.39% to 3.88.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 102.00.
