Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the fell 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the were Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:), which rose 2.22% or 1,690.00 points to trade at 77,690.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Mivne Real Estate KD Ltd (TASE:) added 1.37% or 12.60 points to end at 933.00 and Melisron (TASE:) was up 1.08% or 250.00 points to 23,500.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:), which fell 7.79% or 980.00 points to trade at 11,600.00 at the close. Kenon Holdings Ltd (TASE:) declined 2.92% or 270.00 points to end at 8,964.00 and Strauss Group (TASE:) was down 2.77% or 238.00 points to 8,340.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 269 to 182 and 45 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 7.79% or 980.00 to 11,600.00.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.54% or 0.44 to $80.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.39% or 0.33 to hit $84.56 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.24% or 4.65 to trade at $1,930.55 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.48% to 3.76, while EUR/ILS rose 0.34% to 4.09.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 103.21.
