Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the declined 1.12%.

The best performers of the session on the were Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:), which rose 1.14% or 860.00 points to trade at 76,280.00 at the close. Meanwhile, ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:) added 0.72% or 15.00 points to end at 2,105.00 and Israel Corp (TASE:) was up 0.55% or 550.00 points to 99,750.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd (TASE:), which fell 3.47% or 104.00 points to trade at 2,890.00 at the close. Kenon Holdings Ltd (TASE:) declined 3.32% or 297.00 points to end at 8,660.00 and Nova (TASE:) was down 3.31% or 1,390.00 points to 40,610.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 270 to 189 and 40 ended unchanged.

Shares in Kenon Holdings Ltd (TASE:) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.32% or 297.00 to 8,660.00.

Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.89% or 1.31 to $68.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.82% or 1.35 to hit $73.00 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.45% or 8.75 to trade at $1,925.05 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.85% to 3.66, while EUR/ILS rose 1.38% to 4.01.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 102.11.
