Norway stocks lower at close of trade; Oslo OBX down 0.58% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Oslo, the declined 0.58% to hit a new 1-month low.

The best performers of the session on the were Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:), which rose 4.69% or 5.30 points to trade at 118.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Orkla ASA (OL:) added 1.67% or 1.60 points to end at 97.50 and Frontline Ltd (OL:) was up 1.47% or 3.50 points to 242.20 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:), which fell 7.40% or 0.84 points to trade at 10.51 at the close. Aker BP ASA (OL:) declined 2.87% or 6.80 points to end at 230.30 and Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:) was down 2.56% or 3.30 points to 125.50.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 168 to 109 and 31 ended unchanged.

Shares in Orkla ASA (OL:) rose to 5-year highs; up 1.67% or 1.60 to 97.50. Shares in Aker BP ASA (OL:) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.87% or 6.80 to 230.30.

Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.53% or 1.06 to $68.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.51% or 1.10 to hit $71.59 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.24% or 6.10 to trade at $2,537.00 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.28% to 11.85, while USD/NOK rose 0.54% to 10.67.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 100.97.
